Last Day of School Fun + Online Auction
This school year has been long, but we've (almost) made it! We may not be able to Hullabaloo this year, but we can gather for a choose-your-own-adventure picnic dinner and Kona Shave Ice on Friday, June 11th in front of the school.
Grand Cru Picnic Dinner & Kona Ice - June 11
- Grand Cru has put together a family-friendly picnic dinner option just for us. They will give 6% of dinner proceeds to the PTA so it's a chance to support Hayhurst School AND a Hayhurst small business. You can eat at home or with friends elsewhere, or you can bring it to school. Keep an eye out for an order form next week!
- Kona Ice will be at the front of the school from 6:30-8:30. Some kids will have rewards from their awesome work with the Run for Hayhurst, but anyone can purchase and start off summer with a cold treat.

A Circus Indeed... A Final Online "Grab-Bag" Auction June 9-11 (Including Disney World Tickets!)
We have a few items that were donated for our 2020 auction, but that were closed in December when we had our virtual auction. From June 9th-June 11th, we will have another online auction so that YOU can enjoy some summer goodies. We have everything from a wine basket donated by the Bernards Family to, yes, Disney World tickets! Keep an eye out for emails and be ready to support the school community one last time this year.

Run for Hayhurst 2021 Extended to June 6 Kids Run & Collect Sponsorships for Hayhurst
Thank you, all for keeping Hayhurst kids running and for donating to support our school. We got a week of rain, which is great for our trees but not so great for our runners, so we're extending the run till June 6th, 2021. The funds raised will go towards school supplies, enrichment opportunities for students and teachers, support for our community, and more. We didn’t have a live auction this year, so take this opportunity to give to the PTA and get us ready for the next school year.
Here’s How Run for Hayhurst Works
Students Run and Record Their Mileage Between May 1st and June 6th, 2021! Since we can’t have students running at the school, Coach Winkler has designated courses for them to use. Kids can walk, Jog or run all courses and have the option to bicycle/scoot/skate Fanno Creek Trail. The different trails are detailed on the Run for Hayhurst page on our website. Students can record miles here.
Anyone Can Sponsor! Simply share this link to the online sponsorship form with anyone who wants to sponsor your runner and they can donate directly by credit card and mark the student/s they are sponsoring. Print forms are also available. You can print and use this form to track sponsor donations and to pay by check. Sponsorships accepted by June 6th.
Prizes! There will be individual prizes for the top three runners per grade (Dairy Hill gift cards) and group prizes for the top earning grades (Kona Ice shaved ice on June 11th, 6:30-8:30 PM), so make sure sponsors provide runner details when they donate.

5th Grade Promotion A message from The 5th grade Fun Committee
June is fast approaching and our 70 wonderful fifth graders are graduating! We’re inviting you to help them celebrate on the evening of June 9th as a way to commemorate this important milestone before we send them off to middle school.
As you know, it was a doozy of a year. For all of us many events were canceled, including several big outings Hayhurst fifth-graders historically look forward to—the overnight trip, Biztown, one last Hullabaloo—even field trips.
In light of the funds “saved” by having an event-free 2020-21, would you consider donating toward this year-end celebration for our persevering fifth graders? We’re hoping for a host of fun activities, T-shirts, an ice cream truck, goodie bags and more. With the PTA’s contribution and donations from parents, we have $1,200, but could definitely use your donations to make this a truly special event for our kids. Help us make lemonade out of this lemon of a year!
Please use this link to donate. Please share the link with family, friends and neighbors!

Please upload images in a folder with your child's first name and initial.
Thank You
