We as a community want to ensure that our teacher feel supported and appreciated during these stressful times. Room rep volunteers are still needed for the following classrooms; Chorlton, Brennan, Love, Block, Swake and Harbolt.
What does a room representatives do?
Teacher Support: The needs of each classroom will be
different, and the style of each teacher will vary. Some teachers need minimal assistance while others may want a more involved role from the Room Rep. We want our teachers to know that we appreciate all they do for our kids, and we’re here to support them.
PTA Communication: The Room Rep is also a liaison providing information from the PTA and Hayhurst to the parents
in their classroom and teacher. If you’re able and interested in attended the monthly PTA meeting, we invite you to do so. The Teacher Outreach Coordinator will also share any highlights that pertain to the classroom or information that needs to be shared to the Room Reps to further share with the parents.
