Hayhurst Chess Club has its first practice of the school year on September 15! We are meeting online on Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm. Despite everything, we had great participation last year and we hope for the same this year. Registration available at https://www.rosecitychess.com/shop/p/hayhurst

Hayhurst Chess Club is open to students of all abilities, whether they are learning the rules for the first time or striving to win state championships.

Coach Chad has been part of Hayhurst Chess Club as a parent and coach since 2016. In the last five years, the club has won the OSCF K5 Team State Championship and multiple Regional Championships and individual awards. Chad works alongside USCF National Masters and is supported by a world-class chess curriculum that is engaging and effective. Lessons for Fall 2021 take place on Zoom and Lichess.

Students receive one free Chess Steps workbook appropriate for their current strength with enrollment for the semester. Workbooks will be dropped off at the school. If they complete the workbook, Chad will send them a new one free of charge!

Enrollment currently limited only to Hayhurst students; others can email chad@rosecitychess.com to join a waitlist.
