Aaron Bech, a teacher in Tigard, lives near Gabriel Park and has children in neighborhood schols. For the past 7 years, he has been organizing a Ski Bus to Mount Hood Meadows for Southwest Portland. This year, he wants to invite Hayhurst kids and families to join in!
Each Sunday in January, a charter bus will take interested participants to Mt. Hood Meadows. It is a convenient way for your child (or anyone in your family) to purchase lessons, lift tickets, and transportation at a group rate. The charter bus is equipped with televisions and a bathroom and parks right next to the lodge in the first row of the parking lot. The whole family can join, or you can enroll your child in SnoBlasters and be assured that they will be escorted to the Ski School, receive instruction and supervision each Sunday, and be returned to you in the evening. We will depart from the Laughing Planet parking lot across from the Southwest Community Center on the corner of 45th and Vermont.
