| If you bring in your bottles and cans with deposit labels, we turn them into food for our food bag program. We use the 20% extra voucher program at Fred Meyer to turn each bottle and can into 12 cents! We then buy produce for our food insecure families. You can bring bags of bottles and cans with deposit labels to the school and put them in the back NE corner of the cafetorium near the piano or drop them at Kirsten Carr’s house at 5252 SW Idaho. In the last year we have created almost $1000 of produce from our “trash”! The weekend food program has started up again today and will continue every Friday. Anyone interested in helping fill bags, we start after the kids clear the cafeteria after drop off. |
