The Jackson and Gray Middle School PTAs welcome you to participate in two special parent nights, hosted by the Anti Defamation League Education Director, Scotland Nash EdD, for a workshop series for families and communities to reflect on bias, engagement, and communication.
Learn about the manifestation of bias, reflect on life experiences, consider the lenses that we bring to difficult conversations, and how understanding bias supports building a connection. In this workshop, we will understand how it is possible to challenge bias, prejudicial thinking, and attitudes in ourselves. Through this “unlearning” of bias and the conscious effort it takes, that will support building allyship
Current issues provide a great opportunity to engage others in rich conversation, share important values, encourage a deeper understanding of the news, and disrupt bias and prejudice.
